Overview
Sergeant Ilias Kannauros fell heroically fighting, at the age of 20, in Agios Pavlos, Nicosia on August 16, 1974. He was on the missing list until 2000, until his bones were identified by the DNA method. The unveiling of his statue in Lofou took place on September 18, 2005.
